During April 21-24, International Workshop On Image Processing and Inverse Problems, jointly organized by Institute of Applied Physics and Computational Mathematics, Hunan Normal University and Complex System Division at Beijing Computational Science Research Center, has been successfully held in CSRC.

The workshop aims to bring together experts on image processing and inverse problems based on optimization or PDEs. Topics of presentation are devoted to design and analysis of mathematical models, design and analysis of computational algorithms and applications of such models and algorithms to specific problems in industry.

Over 80 participants attended this international meeting, including Prof. Raymond H. Chan from Chinese University of Hongkong, Prof. Jianfeng Cai from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Prof. Tony Chan from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and Prof.Haiguang Liu from Beijing Computational Science Research Center, etc.

During the four-day workshop, 38 invited talks were given. This workshop has provided excellent opportunities for networking and development of research linkages between participants.
