During May 22-23, 2017, a Mini School on Theory and Methods of Open Quantum Systems organized by Quantum Physics and Quantum Information Division has been successfully held in CSRC.

The main objective of this mini school is to provide young researchers a short-term course on the theory of open quantum systems. 9 of the top scientists focus on Open Quantum System were invited to give a one-hour lecture on one of the topics. Over 80 young scientist and students from different institute, such as Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tsinghua University, Peking University, University of Science and Technology of China, and Shanghai University, etc., were attracted to this mini school.

The mini school is a success and many participants had hot discussions with the lecturers and said they have benefited a lot from the short course, and hope CSRC can continue to hold such mini school in the future.
